You may not believe this...

Dear Poolowner
YOU MAY NOT BELIEVE THIS . . . but it's true
For about 30 years no citizen of Chicago with the desire to own a swimming pool would have one built. Why? Because the city had a law which required EVERY swimming pool to have a lifeguard on duty whenever the pool was used. The law was finally rescinded in 1985.

A swimming pool is a great place for fun, relaxation, and exercise. Now and then you hear of someone playing a little too rough, or diving into water that's too shallow, or doing a crazy stunt just to show off . . . and is injured for life. Sometimes the risk taken just to get a laugh, can end in years of tears.

A pool symbolizes healthful recreation. So we're sure you agree with an ounce of prevention being better than a pound of cure. That's why we've provided a package of signs with your new vinyl liner which provides information about the safe use and enjoyment of your pool for everyone who uses it. Included are warning signs for posting at the shallow sides and end of your pool, as well as safe practice reminders for everyone to see before entering the pool area.

We are required to keep a record of your having received this safety posting package. Please fill out and mail the enclosed acknowledgment card right away. If you haven't received this information package, please contact us.

Thank you for choosing a Dover Vinyl Products swimming pool liner.
